► The Residents [see our feature] perform “Shadowland” after a screening of the documentary “Theory of Obscurity: A Film About the Residents” at the Regent Theater.
► Coachella-bound Goldroom headlines the Roxy Theatre, joined by Chela and Matt DiMona.
► L.A. duo Johnson & McAuley — that’s Alexz and Bleu, respectively, celebrate the release of their debut EP with a show at Resident, supported by the Great Indoors and Brad Byrd.
► Operators, which include Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and Sam Brown of Divine Fits, play the Bootleg Theater, supported by Bogan Via.
► Nashville’s Escondido visit the Echo behind their new release “Walking With a Stranger,” with Dick Stusso opening.
