Australian songstress Courtney Barnett brought her indie-rock prowess to the Glasshouse last night. Her wide array of fans filled in to see her perform songs from her acclaimed debut “Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit,” released last March, as well as a new track titled “Three Packs A Day” released this January. Barnett always looks a little grungier than her songs are – tracks that are rife with rambling guitar chops and dry lyrical wit keeping her at the top of the ladder as the new slack-rock darling.
Courtney Barnett was supported by Canadian indie-poppers Alvvays.
