Alina Cutrono’s post-Body Parts, post-break-up emergence as Alina Bea is all about embracing change and emotional self-sufficiency. The video for the title track from her electro-pop EP, “Live Undone,” takes a cue from the queen of dancing with yourself, Kate Bush, and features Cutrono dancing out her feelings in a dark room with projections highlighting the contours of her movements as she vacillates between vulnerability and empowerment. Directed by Matt Sobel, who recently received a Sundance nod for his film “Take Me To The River,” the video was shot in a single take with one camera by Thomas Scott Stanton in conjunction with live projections by Kaiman Walker. She says, “I choreographed it myself, hoping to convey the tension expressed in the song; both the loss and the self-actualization brought on by a huge life change.”
