Long Beach Folk Revival Festival announces lineup for Sept. 17

All hail the folkies, the Long Beach Folk Revival Festival returns for a fourth year at the scenic Rainbow Lagoon Park.
This summer’s bill features an impressive lineup of pluckers from across the genre. Scheduled to appear are biker folk hero The White Buffalo, Hot Water Music punk Chuck Ragan, Sooner roots rocker JD McPherson, Anaheim rockabilly legends Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys, storyteller Willy Tea Taylor, 84-year-old Mississipi bluesman Leo “Bud” Welch”, dueling banjos from The Lowest Pair, sibling collective Paige Anderson & The Fearless Kin, Appalachian string band Moonsville Collective, dream popper Pearl Charles, West Virginny banjo from Ben Townsend & Friends, Irish folk and Americana from Big Bad Rooster, sweet harmonies from Honey Whiskey Trio, road songs from Mcdougall, and old timey hootin’ and hollerin’ from the Smoggy Mountain String Band.
A major headliner is still to be announced.
The festival will also offer gourmet food, craft beer, children’s activities and vendors.
Ticket are on sale now and are $35 in advance at the website and $50 at the door.
