BROKE LA (formerly known as Brokechella) goes off at downtown’s Imperial Arts Studios (695 S. Santa Fe Ave.), with Vinyl Williams, Tennis System, DWNTWN, Kid Bloom, Alina Bea, the Fontaines, Valley Queen, Yasso, Ice Cream and much more. [See set times and a festival mixtape.]
► Starting at 3 p.m. at Los Globos, Soundchella offers Manifesto, Groves, Lone Kodiak featuring Storm Smith, the Wrecks, the Slightlys and a secret guest.
► In between their Sundays at Coachella, Crystal Fighters rock the Teragram Ballroom. Chela opens.
► In advance of their Sunday gig at Coachella, Melody’s Echo Chamber headlines the Roxy, with Blank Blue [see “Grey”] opening.
Dustbowl Revival plays the Troubadour, supported by T Sisters and We the Folk.
► And Battle Tapes celebrate the release of their new single “Solid Gold” with a show at the Hi Hat, joined by Story of the Running Wolf and Party Nails.
