L.A. folk-rockers Tall Tales and the Silver Lining, who hit their stride by releasing the full-length “Tightropes” and the EP “Unknown Forces,” are calling it quits after a string of live dates this summer.

In an announcement on social media, the band said:

“It is with some sadness, but much optimism, that we announce Tall Tales and the Silver Lining will no longer be. The wild horse was tamed for a good long ride, but the time has come to set it free as we all move forward toward new horizons and projects.”

Singer-songwriter and frontman Trevor Beld Jimenez said via email that there was “no bad blood or vibes” in the breakup and it was “just time to move on.”

He elaborated: “I’ve been doing it for so long (almost 10 years), and thought it was best to end it on a high note after putting out our last record and doing some neat tours. I also thought that I did as much as could under that name, and that it’s time to grow for us all and take whatever doors open. We’re all a little blue of course, but ultimately I think we’re all excited to see what may come.”

This deserves another listen:
