Chinatown Summer Nights: The Lonely Wild, Mating Ritual and Caught a Ghost top June 18 lineup

1

The Lonely Wild, Mating Ritual and Caught a Ghost top the lineup on the LA Weekly Live Music Stage at the Saturday, June 18 season opener of Chinatown Summer Nights.

Seven bands will perform in all, including Bebopalula, Trickster Guru, Madeline Spooner and The Anti-Job. The music starts at 5 p.m.

The event, part of KCRW Summer Nights, also offers a DJ stage — Anthony Valadez at 8 p.m. and Raul Campos at 10 — along with the usual array of activities in Chinatown that night: cultural performances, vendors, children’s activities, food trucks and a craft beer garden. It’s free and all-ages.

The live music stage is curated by Buzz Bands LA. The series will continue July 16 and Aug. 20, and the Live Music Stage will also return for the Chinatown Moon Festival on Sept. 17. Watch this space for lineup announcements.
