► It’s the first of three sold-out nights with The Cure at the Hollywood Bowl.
► The Who visit the Honda Center.
► Frightened Rabbit play the Observatory in support of their new album “Painting of a Panic Attack,” their fifth. Caveman opens. (They’ll be at the Fonda as well, on Tuesday.)
Josh Rouse plays a cozy show at the Hotel Café, along with and Ben Limpic.
► The music of Townes Van Zandt is feted at Grand Ole Echo night at the Echo; among the stellar cast of performers: Elijah Ocean, Austin McCutchen, Leslie Stevens, Brian Whelan, Rod Melancon, Jeff Crosby, Sam Morrow, Amy Blaschke, Brent Rademaker and Kat Myers.
