Silversun Pickups schedule two SoCal dates in August

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for two Southern California headlining dates for local favorites Silversun Pickups. SSPU will be returning to their home turf in August, two weeks after playing Lollapalooza.

The quartet — Brian Aubert, Nikki Moninger, Joe Lester and Christopher Guanlao — are touring hard in support of their fourth album “Better Nature,” which came out last September.

Dates for the shows, which feature A Silent Film and Kiev opening:

Aug. 13 at the Hollywood Palladium. Tickets ($38.50).
Aug. 14 at Riverside Municipal Auditorium. Tickets ($28.50).
