The new album from Canadian pop-punkers PUP is “The Dream Is Over,” so titled because it’s what doctors told frontman Stefan Babcock after examining his shredded vocal cords last fall. It didn’t sound that way Friday night at the Echo, where the band played a rager of show to a sold-out crowd. The energy was high all night, starting with New York quartet Charly Bliss and then West Virginia’s Rozwell Kid, who like the headliners are signed to L.A.-based SideOneDummy Records.
