Mavis Staples, RÜFÜS DU SOL added to Santa Monica Pier concert series

The legendary Mavis Staples (Aug. 18) and Australian dance-pop trio RÜFÜS DU SOL (Aug. 11) have been added to the lineup for the 10-week Twilight Concerts series at the Santa Monica Pier.

Last month, it was revealed that Mayer Hawthorne, BØRNS and Psychedelic Furs would play the first three weeks of the series, which begins July 7.

The lineup, including supporting acts, for the free series is now complete. Here it is:

July 14 — BØRNS and Porches
July 21 — Psychedelic Furs and Day Wave
July 28 — Protoje & The Indiggnation and Raging Fyah
Aug. 4 — Natalia Lafourcade and Monsieur Periné
Aug. 11 — RÜFÜS DU SOL and Marc Baker
Aug. 18 — Mavin Staples and the Suffers
Aug. 25 — Save Ferris, Cibo Matto and winner of Rusty’s local band competition
Sept. 1 — Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Steady Holiday
Sept. 8 — Ohio Players and Holy Ghost!
