L.A. psych/synth-pop outfit Gardens & Villa headline Saturday night’s Twisted at the Pike, a free show in downtown Long Beach that’s part of the city’s Summer and Music series.
Described as a “carnival-centric” event, the all-ages show also features JJUUJJUU, the Molochs and Furcast and goes off from 5 to 11 p.m. at the Pike Outlets at 95 S. Pine. In addition to DJ Bix and tribal belly-dancer Sirena Serpentina, there will be carnival performers, food and craft beer.
The Summer and Music series continues Aug. 12 with Shugazi (and more TBA) performing on the rooftop of Courtyard Marriott’s parking structure, and then the always-popular Buskerfest in the East Village Arts District on Saturday, Sept. 3.
