Bronx-born singer-songwriter Ari Hest, who last month released the duets album “Silver Skies Blue” with the legendary Judy Collins, will kick off a month-long series of free concerts on Aug. 6 at One Colorado in Old Pasadena.

Hest, who also plays an intimate show the night prior at the Hotel Café Second Stage, is the opener for the Saturday Nights in August series, four free shows that begin at 7:30 p.m. each night.
