While trying to figure out where the hell July went, I’ve prepared a delectable Buzz Bands LA Show to cap a busy month. Join me at 11 a.m. on The Independent FM for this week’s two hours of local tunes, including new songs from Zipper Club, Springtime Carnivore, Gothic Tropic, Ablebody, Frankel, Luna Shadows, Trapdoor Social and Wages. There will be two blocks of music devoted to bands performing on Aug. 20 — Sonny Boy Thorn and more, playing Chinatown Summer Nights, and Adult Books and more, playing the Buzz Bands LA stage at Echo Park Rising.
