► Psychedelic cumbia-punk quartet Thee Commons [see “Chico Che”], one of the highlights of Make Music Pasadena in June and just back from a U.S. tour, headline the Echoplex, with La Diabla and Cutty Flam opening.
► At the Greek Theatre, it’s Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs.
► Madeline Spooner [see “Had to Let It Go”] celebrates the release of her EP “Nautilus” with a show at the Bootleg Theater, supported by Zealyn and WRENN.
