► Adele returns for another night at Staples Center.
► Weezer headlines the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, joined by Panic! at the Disco and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.
► Tijuana Panthers, who just released the new EP “Ghost Food,” rock the Teragram Ballroom, joined by the Buttertones and Tracy Bryant.
► Japanese music alchemist Cornelius performs his breakout album, 1997’s “Fantasma,” at the Orpheum Theatre, preceded by a DJ set from Nosaj Thing.
► Congolese rumba-rockers Mbongwana Star play a free show at Grand Performances at California Plaza.
► Rocky Dawuni plays a free show at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park.
► The free summer music series at Pershing Square has an interesting pairing: ’70s AOR heroes Kansas and Oregon folk-rockers Blitzen Trapper.
► The Save the Smell Fest goes off downtown (501 S. Ave. 17), with No Age, Cherry Glazerr, Kim & the Created, Surf Curse, SadGirl, White Fang, So Many Wizards, Feels, Crescendo, Audacity, Lovely Bad Things and more.
► And the free Ones to Watch music series brings Desi Valentine, Sam Fischer and T.O.L.D. to Union Station’s south courtyard.
