Veteran musicians Willie Chambers (The Chambers Brothers) and Barry “The Fish” Melton and Friends (Country Joe and the Fish) will be joined by the likes of rock violinist Lili Haydn, Grateful Dead cover outfit Cubensis and ska-punkers Meet Me at the Pub at the 11th annual Venice Beach Music Fest on Saturday, Aug. 27.

The free, all-ages festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Windward Plaza Park.

Besides the main stage entertainment — which includes reggae band Jah Faith and the Royal Lineage, folk troubadour James Booth, poet and live painter Ann Cohen and Ya Harissa Bellydance Theater — the festival features an opening parade down Ocean Front Walk by drum and dance ensembles Samba Da Mudança (Samba for Change) and Samba 4U.

The festival features the work of a host of visual artists as well.
