New York’s Lion Babe — the collaboration between singer-songwriter and performance artist Jillian Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman — brought their eye-popping stage show to the Echoplex on Friday night, unleashing songs from their new mixtape “Sun Joint” and more. Their funky electro-soul, displayed on such singles as “Endless Summer,” set the party dial vibe on high. Washington, D.C.’s Kamau opened the night.
