Desert Daze adds Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Toro y Moi, Foxygen

The fifth annual Desert Daze, going off Oct. 14-16, has announced some notable additions to its lineup: Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Toro y Moi, Foxygen, the Raveonettes and Jennylee (of Warpaint) among them.

With one big headliner still to be named, the top of the festival’s lineup looks like this:

Friday: Washed Out, Deerhunter, the Sonics and Toro y Moi
Saturday: Primus, Goodspeed You! Black Emperor and the Black Angels (playing “Passover”)
Sunday: Television, Brian Jonestown Massacre and Foxygen.

Interestingly, the event, being held at the Institute of Mentalphysics in Joshua Tree, also includes a “keynote address” by Andrew W.K., “closing ceremonies” with Saul Williams and a tribute to Alan Vega, the Suicide singer who died last month. The updated festival flyer is below.

Radio Moscow, SURVIVE, LSD & The Search for God were among the other acts added.
