It was midweek fever for fans of “Nosebleed Weekend,” as Atlanta punk rockers the Coathangers gave a sweaty, instrument-swapping, fun-filled show at the El Rey Theatre in support of that album, their fifth. The packed house was squarely behind the dues-paying band, and by the third song a mosh pit had formed.

L.A.’s Death Valley Girls preceded the Coathangers with another in a line of recent incendiary sets supporting their album “Glow in the Dark.” The El Rey was already packed when L.A. Witch, whose album “Drive Your Car” came out in February, opened the night.
