Psychedelic band Mild High Club had their L.A. fans under a spell while they played a sold-out show Tuesday night at the Echo. Last week the band released their sophomore album “Skiptracing” on Stones Throw Records. With his 12-string guitar in hand and his bandmates behind him, Chicago native and jazz-trained musician Alexander Brettin performed fan favorites like the hallucination-inducing “Windowpane” and the beautifully melancholy “Weeping Willow.” Fans also heard plenty of new material including the euphorically mellow title track “Skiptracing” and the jazzy sounding “Tesselation.” They closed out the show by inviting supporting acts Jerry Paper and Free Weed up on stage for a super jam.
