► Their new album “Schmilco” just out, Wilco begins a three-night run at the Theatre at Ace Hotel.
► Twenty-two-year-old British singer-songwriter Jake Bugg plays the Wiltern in support of his new album “On My One.”
► An all-star lineup including Norah Jones, Jakob Dylan, Carly Rae Jepsen, Brandon Boyd of Incubus, Matt Shultz and Matthan Minster of Cage The Elephant, Dhani Harrison, Cameron Avery of Tame Impala, Lissie, Summer Moon, the Shelters and more play the first night of Petty Fest at the Fonda Theatre. It’s a musical celebration of 40 years of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and the concerts benefit the Foundation for the Arts.
► With his new album “Buiding a Beginning” en route Oct. 14, Jamie Lidell and the Royal Pharoahs do an intimate night at the Echo.
► Long-running indie outfit the Minders visit the Satellite in support of their new album “Into the River.” Vasas and Clifflight open.
► And Portland sister trio Joseph bring the harmony-drenched songs from their album “I’m Alone, No You’re Not” to the Troubadour, with Duncan Fellows supporting.
