Ray LaMontagne visited the Greek Theatre on Sunday night behind his expansive sixth album “Ourboros,” displaying the tender songcraft elevated him among singer-songwriters and the bigger sounds present on his last two albums. He began the night with a run of solo acoustic songs — “Burn,” “Jolene,” “Like Rock & Roll and Radio” and “Trouble” — before welcoming members of My Morning Jacket onstage to ramp things up. “Ourboros” was produced by MMJ main man Jim James, and LaMontagne’s show included backing from Tom Blankenship, Bo Koster and Patrick Hallahan. (Guitarist Carl Broemel left the tour earlier this year because of health issues.) The elongated, spaced-out jams played well to the Greek and its denizens.
