Actor Kristen Wiig’s appearance with Norah Jones (on “You Don’t Know How It Feels” and “Time to Move On”) was the big surprise Tuesday at the first night of Petty Fest, the star-studded charity event at the Fonda Theatre that celebrated the 40th anniversary of the music of Tom Petty. Jakob Dylan, Dhani Harrison, Lissie, Darren Criss, Allison Pierce, Cameron Avery (of Tame Impala), Chris Vos (the Record Company), Emily Armstrong (Dead Sara) and Jonathan Bates (Big Black Delta) were among the array of talent at the show that benefited the Refuge Foundation for the Arts, co-founded by Chisel. One of the foundation’s artists in residence, J-Council, was among the performers.
