Band of Skulls are certainly keeping themselves occupied in the wake of their acclaimed fourth album, “By Default.” They’re currently in the midst of a North American tour, recently performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and are set to appear on NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly on Oct. 5. And the U.K. trio have also released a video for their latest single, “Black Magic.” The song brings the heavy bluesy rock Matthew Hayward (drums), Russell Marsden (guitar/vocals) and Emma Richardson (bass/vocals) are known for; kicking off with Hayward’s pounding drums followed by a meaty riff that will give you stank face as you shake your head. The video, according to the band, is ““inspired initially by mixing vintage Bollywood dance along with the track and then re-imagined by our director Yonatan Weisberg.” It’s good to see they still have a knack for making an old retro sound not seem old at all.
