Stream: Nick Murphy, ‘Fear Less’

Nick Murphy has released music as Chet Faker for the past five years, including 2014’s well-received “Built On Glass,” but the New York-based Australian just announced that he’s reinventing his sound and will be releasing his next album under his own name. “There’s an evolution happening and I wanted to let you know where it’s going,” he wrote on Facebook, sharing the song “Fear Less” as a taste of what’s to come. Blending some of the influences that informed the Chet Faker sound with new soundscapes, Murphy’s new track builds note upon effects-laden note, winding itself up for a big burst of electronic rock in the last minute.
