Curated and booked by Long Beach long-timer Josh Fischel, this weekend’s inaugural Music Tastes Good festival boasts a genre-spanning, across-three-generations lineup with pretty broad appeal. So how does the music of the veteran acts sound alongside the fresh-faced newbies? We made a playlist to find out.

The festival is headed up by the Specials, Iron & Wine, Squeeze, Dr. Dog, Sylvan Esso, De La Soul, Gallant, Las Cafeterias, Rival Sons and RX Bandits, joined by many local favorites such as the Dead Ships, Warpaint, Melvins, Nick Waterhouse and more.

Tickets are available here, available as single-day (Friday $25, Saturday $75, Sunday $35) or three-day passes ($120).
