Andrew Davie and Kevin Jones brought their formidable beards and emotive folk-rock to the Echo on Wednesday night, heading up the six-piece touring version of their project Bear’s Den. The band’s 17-song set was divided almost equally between songs from their new album “Red Earth & Pouring Rain” and their 2014 debut “Islands.” Their tunes are kind of the musical cousins of Mumford & Sons and they got Mumford-sized adulation in the packed room as their songs shifted from banjo-inflected folk to ’70s-styled classic rock.
