Fitz & the Tantrums’ hometown show at the Greek Theatre was a typically crowd-pleasing affair, the huge crowd singing along from the very beginning as the L.A. popsters threw down an 18-song set, eight of which came from their self-titled third album released in June. They sprinkled in some favorites from their 2010 debut “Pickin’ Up the Pieces” too — “Breakin’ the Chains of Love,” “MoneyGrabber” and “L.O.V.” (but no “Mr. President,” less than a month before the election) — but mainly it was about the new album, with new single “Roll Up” coming just over halfway through the show and “HandClap” coming late. They finished with “6 AM” and “The Walker,” both from 2013’s “More Than Just a Dream.” As is FATT’s habit live, they made everything sound like hits.
X Ambassadors and Tyler Glenn (of Neon Trees) opened the show.
