You learn something new every day. And thanks to EL VY, the musical partnership of the National’s Matt Berninger and Ramona Falls’ and Brent Knopf, we now know about walrus penis jewelry, which is what the duo’s new song “Are These My Jets” is about. “[It] is a real thing,” Berninger says. “My sister, Rachel, was given some by a Canadian bush pilot when she worked for Alaska Airlines in the ’90s.”

Donald Trump’s candidacy for the country’s highest office is a real thing too, and EL VY’s new volley is part of the series 30 Days, 30 Songs, from artists who “are united in our desire to speak out against the ignorant, divisive, and hateful campaign of Donald Trump.” Thus far, the like of Death Cab for Cutie (“Million Dollar Loan”), Jim James, Franz Ferdinand (“Demagogue”) and Thao Nguyen have weighed in with tunes. Oh, and Aimee Mann, who seems particularly adept at getting into the candidate’s head.

Moreover, El VY’s anti-Trump volley is made great by the fact there is an accompanying video game created by illustrator John Solimine and developer Brent Sodman. “With regard to the game, we called our colleagues … and said, ‘We’d like a cathartic interactive experience. We’d also like to shoot bluebirds and meat with a sniff blaster.’ They asked us, ‘What for?’ Somebody said, ‘It’s time to start healing.’”

They are challenging people to beat Berninger’s 25,273,200 score.

Meanwhile, Abraham Lincoln weeps.
