Twin brothers Wyatt and Fletcher Shears enjoy their absurdity with a side of mischief, but there’s a conceptual integrity underpinning the wild weird world of fun encapsulated in the music they make as The Garden. Their latest single, “California Here We Go,” is about being artists in Los Angeles. They say, “It serves as a relatively open space for creativity and it provides decent opportunity for artists as well. Los Angeles is almost like Las Vegas in the way that it can be the city of lost hopes and dreams if you don’t use your time wisely as an artist.” True that. For the video, the guys played a seriously deranged game of baseball, one that many of the more destructive among us have always dreamed of playing. It was directed by William Sipos and Sean Campos, and features a friend of theirs named Tommy Midnight.
