Cleveland indie-rockers Cloud Nothings‘ announced last week that their new album “Life Without Sound” would be out in January, and then played a couple of West Coast dates to close the book on 2016. Wednesday brought them to the Hi Hat for a sold-out show that featured a mix of songs mostly from 2014’s “Here and Nowhere Else” and 2012’s “Attack on Memory.” The crowd erupted within first notes of “I’m Not a Part of Me” after keeping alive a circular mosh pit for most of the show. L.A. quartet Dimber, playing their fifth-ever show, played a punk cover of Alice DeeJay’s “Better Off Alone” and songs from their self-titled, limited edition cassette release.
