With Thursday’s electric show at the Echoplex, Death Valley Girls put an exclamation point on a year that has seen them do at least five local headlining shows (at increasingly large venues), open for bands such as Primal Scream and the Coathangers, make a music video with Rodney Bingenheimer, backed Daniel Johnston and release their sophomore album “Glow in the Dark.” The L.A. quartet was joined on this night by Gateway Drugs, C.G. Roxanne and the Nightmares and newbies Kill a Punk for Rock and Roll (featuring Josh Landau of the Shrine), playing their first show.
