Tonight’s special edition of the L.A. Buzz Bands Show on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org) will be called “These Are a Few of My Favorite Songs” — it’s a quick look back at what moved my dial during 2016. Of course, at just 14 songs, tonight’s hour of local music is just the tip of the iceberg (Buzz Bands LA’s annual 101-song countdown is coming this week). So join me at 9 p.m. for my highlights, and click here to listen if you are out of FM range.
I won’t share the whole playlist right now, but I’ll be updating this post during the show.
Except that I will allow that I’m kicking off the program this way:
Miya Folick, “Pet Body”
VEERS, “Invader”
Sego, “Obscene Dream”
Magic Bronson, “Hell With a Water Pistol”
Cherry Glazerr, “Told You I’d Be With the Guys”
Bishop Briggs, “River”
Lone Kodiak, “Disaster” (feat. Storm Smith)
Kan Wakan, “I Would”
Blondfire, “True Confessions”
Big Search, “Can’t Understand the News”
Gothic Tropic, “Stronger”
T.O.L.D., “Master of the Species”
Lo Moon, “Loveless”
Mondo Cozmo, “Shine”
… and more to come
