Tuesday’s Los Angeles concerts:

Celebrating David Bowie, a series of concerts benefiting Arts in Education, brings Sting — along with longtime associates of the Thin White Duke (including Mike Garson, Adrian Belew, Gail Ann Dorsey and Sterling Campbell) — to the Wiltern.
The Show Ponies celebrate the release of their new album, “How It All Goes Down,” their second, with a show at the Troubadour, with Freddy & Francine supporting.
August Burns Red rocks the Belasco Theater.
► And Wilderado continue their residency at Resident, joined by Nick Shattuck and Bloodweiser.
