Long-running San Diego indie-rockers Pinback toasted the 10-year anniversary of their biggest album “Autumn of the Seraphs,” with a crushing show Thursday night at the Echoplex. It was the first of two Pinback shows this week (tonight they play a “regular” gig at the Echo), and this one stayed true to form: After the trio started with four of “Autumn of the Seraphs'” bonus tracks, they tore through the album’s main 11 songs in order.

Vertical Scratchers, the latest project from John Schmersal (formerly of Brainiac and Enon), opened with a 14-song set that was half new songs and half songs from their 2014 debut “Daughter of Everything.”
