Back around 2010, when Jonathan Snipes of beloved local noise-pop band Captain Ahab said he started a rap band with his friends from college, William Hutson and Daveed Diggs, one had to expect this trio would blow minds. And so, sharing their common affection for rap, experimental music, genre fiction and subversive art, the group began their quest for world domination, signed with Sub Pop Records and, now, riding a wave of success, they seem to only be pushing things further, getting stranger and more nightmarish, and it’s nice. For their latest video, the guys teamed up with director Anna Zlokovic, focusing on a most disturbing concept, grown-ups with baby faces, and vice-versa.

Clipping released a full-length in September, “Splendor & Misery,” but “Back Up” comes from their June-released EP, “Wriggle.”  The song features special guests Antwon and Signor Benedick the Moor offering many maniacal musings about relationships and the opposite sex. Filmed at The Smell, the video revels in its creepiness, as the camera explores the inhabitants of this milk-obsessed cult. The old lady knitting at 2:12, that’s the worst (slash best).
