Los Angeles concerts for Tuesday:

Red Hot Chili Peppers do the first of three sold-out nights at Staples Center, with Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue.
Kool Keith and Dan the Automator’s Dr. Octagon plays the sold-out Teragram Ballroom; the duo just annoucned a reissue of the 1996 album “Dr. Octagonecologyst.”
► Tommy Stinson’s rebooted band Bash & Pop visit the Troubadour in support of the new album “Anything Could Happen” (the first B&P record since 1993), with the Yawpers opening.
► Guitarist Ben Chasny and his Six Organs of Admittance headline the Bootleg Theater behind their new album “Burning the Threshold.” Itasca opens.
X Ambassadors staged a benefit show for Planned Parenthood at the Roxy, where Morgxn and MILCK support.
► And Night Talks, who recently released their debut “In Dreams,” kick off a Tuesday night residency at the Hi Hat, joined by Lauren Ruth Ward, Holy Wars and Beyond Rare.
