Los Angeles concerts for Sunday:
► Canadian punk band Fucked Up does the first of two nights at the Echo (this one is sold out), joined by No Age and Danger.
► British rocker Enter Shikari, celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their debut album “Take to the Skies,” hit the Roxy, supported by Rival Tides.
► Bird Concerns [see “Nobody Wants to Be My Baby”] celebrate their EP release at the Bootleg Theater, joined by Emma Cole and Albert & his Dreamboats.
► The Wraith and Deth Crux play at Part Time Punks at the Echoplex, but the highly anticipated appearance at Italian band Soviet Soviet won’t happen after the group was denied entry into the U.S., detained in Seattle and then deported.
► Soviet protest band Pussy Riot gives the L.A. premiere of the theatrical production “Revolution” at the Fonda Theatre. It’s based on the book of Maria Alyokhina, one of the band’s leaders, documenting their actions in balaclavas, hiding from police, arrest, Moscow jail and police investigation, trial and remote penal colony. The roster of performers will include Maria Alyokhina herself, Kiryl Kanstantsinau, the punk music duo AWOTT (Asian Women On The Telephone) and VJ Vasily Bogatov.
