Stream: The Buttertones, ‘A Tear For Rosie’

To get really in the mood for the release of the Buttertones new album, “Gravedigging,” here’s “A Tear For Rosie,” a somber tune about a girl called Rosie. It seems Rosie didn’t get the love she needed, and the music backs Richard Araiza’s lyrical lament at a feverish pace. Where first single “Sadie’s A Sadist” had an overt cinematic surf tone, this tune weaves surf elements into a frenetic goth in the garage sound. Produced and recorded by Johnny Bell at Jazzcat Studios, Innovative Leisure will release the album on March 31.
