The sorrowful message in Lolahiko’s single “Funeral” is delivered via sign language in the L.A. duo’s new video. The song is from “The Year We Died But Stayed Alive,” the debut EP from Lauren Marie (who directed the video) and Ike Kawaguchi. Their dark synth-pop, fashioned in Kawaguchi’s Hollywood studio, translates well to the video’s setting, a mid-century room where a woman (Caitlin Cusano) wordlessly spins the mournful story.
