Moderat haven’t earned a heap of award for their live show for no reason. On Thursday night, the trio — Sascha Ring (Apparat) and Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary (Modeselektor) — brought their laser-guided show and dynamic visuals to downtown’s Mayan Theater for a Coachella add-on performance. They laid out a bunch of fan favorites, including “Eating Hooks,” “Bad Kingdom,” “A New Error” and “Reminder,” before closing with “The Fool.:

Hypoxia and L.A.-based German Robot Koch (Robert Koch joined by singer Savannah Jo Lack) opened the show.
