► The Pixies do the first of two sold-out nights at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, with Public Access TV supporting.
► Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes, whose 2015 album “matador” was nominated for the U.K.’s Mercury Music Prize, plays the first of two L.A. dates on his first solo U.S. tour. Tonight at the Hi Hat he is supported by Simone Turkington Magic and Evan Slamka of Marjorie Fair.
► Malian singer-guitarist Vieux Farka Toure headlines the Echoplex in support of his new album “Samba,” with Omar Velasco supporting.
► The co-headlining tour of Say Anything and Bayside hits the Belasco Theater.
► Armed with some new songs, Clara-Nova headlines the Bootleg Theater, joined by Kauf, Paper Pilots and Rainstorm Brother at the Bootleg Theater
► Montreal-based singer-songwriter Leif Vollebekk visits the Echo, with Nico Yaryan supporting.
► And Veers wind up their residency at Harvard & Stone, joined by Smoky Knights and Elle Belle.
