“One Of These” is a throttling 2 1/2-minute adrenaline rush, like a pounding bloody hammer soaked in noise and feedback. It’s the first serving from L.A. post-punk trio Sextile‘s new album, which they’ve called “Albeit Living,” in tribute to a Circle X song. Out July 14 on Felte, “Albeit Living” follows 2015’s “A Thousand Hands,” with Brady Keehn, Melissa Scaduto, and Eddie Wuebben inhabiting dark corners and clamorous frequencies, passing the noise back and forth between synth and guitar while the drums keep the energy moving at a vigorous pace.
