Two and a half years removed from the release of their debut album “Loose Ends,” Francisco the Man are back, still proudly flying indie-rock’s flag. Which, in the case of the L.A. quartet’s new single “I’ll Feel Better,” is buffeted by the winds of stormy guitars and a relentlessly gusts of bass. It’s the first song from “Bodies in the Sun,” the second album from the quartet of singer-guitarist Scott Cantino, bassist Néstor Romero, multi-instrumentalist Brock Woolsey and drummer Abdeel Ortega. It’s a little bit Silversun Pickups, a little bit Band of Horses and a lot of crash-rattle-bang — crushingly high-end to match its high spirits. The release date for “Bodies in the Sun” is still TBA. Stay tuned to your local channels.
