Play Like A Girl collective celebrated one year of putting their favorite female-fronted bands on stage with an all-day event at the Echo and Echoplex on May 27. The lineup featured a variety of genres but the through-line would have to be fearless women embracing their passion for music and creativity. The lineup included Kitten, Smoke Season, Twin Temple, Stars At Night, SISU, Blimes Brixton, The Bedroom Witch, VIAA, Iress, Spare Parts For Broken Hearts, and Night Talks. VOWWS, Kera and The Lesbians, Honey Power, and Smash Club flexed their DJ skills between acts and the bravest (or drunkest) attendees took home permanent souvenirs in the form of tattoos.
