Slowkiss arrived in Los Angeles from Santiago, Chile, this spring with a roar. That their 2-minute rager “Forever Together” has amassed a million-plus online spins surely suggests the coed quartet has something going for them beyond listeners’ suddenly rabid appetite for ’90s grunge, shoegaze and assorted forms of alt-rock. Last week, the band unveiled the second single from the forthcoming EP — “Pink Death” crackles with the sweet/tart snarl of the Pixies/Breeders/Veruca Salt. The quartet — Elisa Froti, Vicky Cordero, Matías Acuña and Ignacio Villagrán — are currently putting the finishing touches on that EP, “Ultraviolet,” which is likely to arrive this fall.
