Stream: L.A. Witch, ‘Untitled’

L.A. Witch may not practice the dark arts, but there certainly is something spellbinding about the gritty sludge-rock this three-piece craft. It’s in the slurring way Sade Sanchez delivers her words, and the hypnotizing rhythm driven by drummer Ellie English and bassist Irita Pai that burns hot but goes down cool. Is it any wonder that listening to this band instantly conjures images of a dark desert highway, motorcycles and shattered glass. That’s that voodoo working. Suicide Squeeze Records will release their debut self-titled album on Sept. 8.
