Figat7th Downtown Festival 2017: Tuxedo, Hanni El Khatib and more

Tuxedo — the duo of Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One — kicks off this year’s edition of the Figat7th Downtown Festival, which brings free concerts to the plaza atop the downtown retail center, located at Figueroa and 7th streets in downtown Los Angeles. The four-week series (down from six weeks last year and eight in 2015) kicks off on Friday, Aug. 4.
After Tuxedo’s opening night of dance-funk, garage-rocker Hanni El Khatib takes over the following Friday, with Sudanese-American alchemist Sinkane and Chicano rockers Quetzal to follow. Each night kicks off with a 4 p.m. happy hour downstairs in the center’s Taste courtyard.
The festival is presented by Arts Brookfield, the cultural arm of Figat7th’s owners, Brookfield Property Partners.
