► Punk in the heat: It’s Not Dead goes off at the Glen Helen Amphitheater, with Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, A Wilhelm Scream, Buzzcocks, Channel 3, The Casualties, Down By Law, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes and more.
► Bryan Ferry visits the Hollywood Bowl, joined by Cecile McLorin Salvant.
► Danish rockers Mew hit the El Rey Theater in support of their new album “Visuals,” with Monakr opening.
► It’s Azealia Banks at the Fonda Theatre, along with Nobody Music.
► Icelandic rockers Kaleo visit the Wiltern. Get there early for the Shelters.
► Potty Mouth headlines the Teragram Ballroom, with Colleen Green opening.
► It’s a second night with Khalid at the Novo.
► Kan Wakan and the Dead Ships head up the lineup at Intersection: A Playhouse District Festival, a free, one-day event at Colorado Boulevard and El Molino in Pasadena. Givers & Takers, Racquet, Susy Sun and the BrosQuitos also perform.
► Bodies of Water celebrate the release of their new album with a show at the Hi Hat, supported by Joel Jerome and Furniture Daniel.
► Nashville quartet Savoy Motel plays a free concert as part of the Off the 405 series at the Getty Center.
► Quitapenas bring their tropical Afro-Latin magic to the Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles for a free concert.
► And roots-reggae guru Rocky Dawuni spreads his good vibes at the free concert at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena.
